The real question for me is which lens to get the TS-E 17 or the 14L2. I was planning on getting the 14L2 next week but, now that the TS-E 17 is showing up soon I'm rethinking my descision. The 14L2 has a 1-stop advantage, AF, it's wider, and ironically now the cheaper option. The TS-E 17 has T/S capability and can be shifted and stitched to match the 14 for field of view. Hmmmm.... any input?
I have the 14 II also. 17 TS-E is slightly sharper than 14 II at the corners with less CA, but it is less wide, slower, heavier and more expensive.
It sounds that you seldom take architecture/interior pictures on top of landscape. If this is the case I would go for the 14 II. The larger size and the protruding front element make the 17 TS-E more difficult to carry around and use. It saves your effort in stitching too.
