I am so happy that I talked myself into starting this WA thing.
It has taken me places I would not have gone with my photography and challenged my eye to be more aware of what is around me.

This is now my 3rd WA post. C&C is most welcome as always.
I am here to learn and grow. I may want to use this as a placeholder as I may have some more time to play around with my camera this weekend.

Thorin, I have always loved word play, so I couldn't resist a peek at the image when I saw your title.
Now I must record a series of commands that will allow me to post a lengthy and brilliant commentary with just a few keystrokes. What's that called again...oh yeah, a macro I think!
Clever concept, though I'm sure with some time you can come up with a more interesting image. It doesn't necessarily have to fit the usual expectations for "macro", as long as you can make it convincing.

Thanks for the reply Photon. I will of course try to come up with a more interesting image. That is why I am doing this and why I noted that I might use this image as a placeholder. Is there anything about the photo that you can offer any constructive criticism about or is it just boring or . . . ?

I think this is a very clever idea and well executed. I especially like the positioning of the apple logo and the gradual dof. As a confirmed Apple addict I am very jealous of all six Macs are yours!

I've had a couple people comment that this is too obvious and doesn't do anything for them. I'm just curious if this is a better attempt or if it is too obscure for the reference. Thoughts?
