I just got my Lumix TS-1 and decided to take a couple of test shots to see how it compared to my LX3. I used a Nikon D200 as a base of comparision to see how all three compared. All images were shot indoor using the pop up flash (sorry, I got the camera late last night).

I decided to get the TS-1 because of its waterproof and shock resistant features, but I was also hoping to get nice images seeing how Panasonic has improved the image quality on all its newer cameras (perfect example is the LX3). The first shot is with the TS1, second is with the LX3, third is with the D200.

Nice. It would be interesting to see what such a comparison would look like with a landscape image.

I went shooting with the TS-1 today and discovered a few things. Turns out that the zoom lens doesn't perform too well on the higher end. Also, for some reason the images look better with the flash than without it. Here are a couple of examples of an indoor shot. The first is with flash at ISO 400, second is without the flash at same ISO. Nothing to write home abgout, but the main reason I purchased this camera was for shooting in water rides at theme parks. I haven't tried it under water yet, but I really hope it works as advertised.

And here are the crops for the above images. First one is a crop of the image with flash, second is a crop of the image without flash.
