I changed my entry, I think as Yakim pointed out, the link to the theme was a little bit tenuous.

It's a political world, we are surrounded by politics and political thinking...

Very nice pic but the relationship to the theme seems a bit forced IMHO.

Thanks Yakim. It's a well known adage that 'the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world', a reference to the enormous significance played by early childhood development on an individual and a society. Those who raise our children have a political power of sorts, I reinforced this with the game of chess which is a game of political strategy, my son has an Irish tricolor emblazoned on his chest... I hope there's enough there to tie it to the theme!

Yes, I understand. However, the fact that so much explanation is necessary is a bit problematic IMHO. It's just that I think that the relationship to the theme should be obvious when looking at the pic/title. In this case it isn't, at least not to me.

Very good pic nevertheless and perfect if the theme was 'Education' or 'Chess' or 'Guidance'.

Just MHO though.

That's a fair point I guess. I'm hoping it'll carry enough meaning with the title! I agree that an obvious relationship to the theme, without the title, is very effective. Thanks for comments!

Dan Brown, Political? tell me you just needed a book to fill the space..........

I like the lighting a lot, and the idea is much clearer than the first image, which did nothing for me. (possibly due to the strong contrasting colours worn by the models taking my eyes away from the focus of the shot.)

Hehe, upon reviewing the photo I was wishing 'Pompeii' or 'Lord of the Flies' was more visible than good ol' Dan. He was in there in the first place as I reckoned his books are political in as much as they challenge longheld ideas concerning religion and the cloak and dagger politics involved in upholding the accepted doctrine... nah, forget it!
