Yes and the vibration level from the shutter is also a lot lower than the DSLR.
Vibration level from the shutter should be similar. The reduced overall vibrations come from the lack of a mirror (always the major source of vibration in an SLR).
Low noise is one of the reasons why I want to get the G1
I like to shoot people at very close range and most of the time I am just guessing as to the distance and exposure, that is why I need AF
But with the flip back I could now see what I am looking at.... and I may get away with manual focus lenses.....!
Just waiting for B&H to have a black G1 in stock....!

I favor B&H also, but through Amazon.com I found a seller called AllAboutElectronics, and purchased a black G1 through them. I ordered it on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday. (AAE is in NYC, I'm in CT.)
Canon EF 15mm Fisheye
Canon EF 50 F1.0
Nikon 14-24
Nikon 28 F1.4
Zeiss ZF 21
Zeiss ZF 35
Zeiss ZF 100 Makro
Leica R 90 APO
Coastal Optics 60 APO
Voigtlander SLII 40
I have the kit lens that came with the camera but I prefer manual focusing and the colors the these lens give me. I have toyed with the idea of adding one of Rokkor 58mm F1.2, Hexanon 57mm F1.2, FD 15mm, FD 20mm, Oly 21mm, or FD 35mm but for the time being concentrating on analyzing what lens I use for each camera system and selling off those that don't fit into my current uses.
DASROCKET is that the rocketman on the butterfly wing. I like the shot.
I thought I'd bump this thread back up to top and point out GH1 has been in stock at B&H for about a week now. It would seem the supply lines are filled now:
Just purchased a G1 body from Ebay and I'm waiting for some
