Damn. Like you said, you manage to freeze motion and get a tack sharp image, but still keep the sense of action with the water drops in the air. I like that a lot. I shoot a lot of GBH's fishing and I can rarely get the head sharp.
WOW!!!, and that doesn't even cover half of it. I seldom comment, but this one knocked my socks off. Put it on the wall, put it on a magazine cover, this one is great!
Hi again,
I'm back. Sorry for not looking after my own post.
Been stricken to bed for the past almost 24 hours. I guess from being out hiking and shooting, and catching up with work, hardly slept enough. Now the Energizer bunny has been recharged and will keep going, going, going...
Andy

Andy, you need to give a bunch more credit to the photographer buddy. The proper selections of metering and exposure for the subject, the proper selection of shutter speed to freeze the action and most importantly the desire to accomplish such an outstanding image
That my friend is an incredible shot and I wonder if you knew what you had captured before you got home or whether it jumped out of your monitor when you got home. Either way, congrats and that is one to savour my friend

Karl buddy!
What a pat on the back! I tell ya, I was still feeling a bit iffy, sort of still getting my strength back after a slight flu. But seeing your comment really got me ready to go shooting again.
Like they say... the rare moments of nature will happen from time to time, but you gotta be there (ready and able) to capture it on film. I was in good position and certainly "ready". For the "able" part, through all my studies, experience, and practice, I was hoping I'd be able. Then the moment came, WHAM!, a flurry of shots was released. I knew right away that I'd got something special. I showed it to my wife (Hanh was also shooting other birds nearby) and she just couldn't wait to see it on the 24" LCD back at home in our studio.
Thanks a million, my friend. If there's a way to add "ENCOURAGEMENT" beside your Avatar, I would!
Hey, look what karma did to me. As soon as I got something good, I got something bad in return. Falling sick and pukin' like there's no tomorrow. Oh well, now that I'm up. I won't stop doing what I love, that is taking pictures.
Your friend,
Andy
