I'd like to be the first to request that you leave all your money to ME in your will. I wouldn't want you to pass it on to your heirs, after all.

If the Politicians were serious about fixing the economy they would do much better to give EVERYBODY around 50,000 USD tax free each and let the banks go bust.
Let's see . .. 50,000 dollars to each person in the US. Let's call the US population 300 million.
That's what? 15 trillion dollars.
Now, just WHERE do you think they'll GET that money?
It's nuts how people are allowed to pass so much of their accumulated wealth on to their heirs. It ensures class separation and maintenance of the status quo.
God forbid we be allowed to decide how to dispose of our own property! We are are much better letting the Gov decide how to blow it!
Alchemy if you recall was only invented to make the science of Economics look respectable -- today who can doubt that we have a 100% proof of that before our very eyes (and in our wallets).
Cheers everyone
-- I think we've all got our various opinions about the total economic hole most Western (and Asian) governments have dug themselves into and solutions for getting out of the mess -- almost anyone of these fixes is likely to work out far better than the "Official Solutions" offered so far -- Pump trillions into institutions that screwed it up inthe first place and encourage EVEN MORE LENDING which is the root cause of the wrteched situation we seem to be in now as well.--madness
- however for all that it's great to still see excellent Photography on the boards.
Are we really worried -- If canon stopped making ANYTHING right this minute we'd still be shooting with Canon gear for YEARS to come. -- Also Japanese companies think long term not about next weeks share price movements.
If you want to worry about anything look at some neighbourhoods in Detroit where you can buy a House (yes a House --not an appartment or Condo) for as Little as 1 Dollar --1000's of small businesses going bust because of the downturn in the Motor Industry. --OK was GM management's fault in producing a lot of grotesque looking Gas Guzzling vehicles which people don't want in these times -- but it's the small folk and businesses who suffer.
Enough of that or I'll start on the trillions of dollars fed to the Banks--which REALLY gets me angry.
Just enjoy shooting --Canon will look after itself I'm sure.
