HA!!!!!!!!!!
Bev........I love, love it and I can relate!
What a nice tribute to the Master of light. This is superb lighting on your part and clever too.
OK, I won't pun on your name and the lighting style.
Bev, this is inspired and hilarious!
Endre deserves the tribute, but humor like this also adds a lot to our enjoyment of the WA.
Thank you for doing this, and good luck! I'll bet you'll get quite a few other votes, too.

Wonderful shot. Definitely made me laugh. Lately I have been trying strobes for pretty much the first time too. It looks to me like you have mastered them already. I am very impressed by your command of the light. Definitely a fitting tribute to Endre.
Good Heavens, Bev! What a surprise! That is the funniest thing I've seen in a long while and I am truly humbled by your kind homage. I must reveal my thought process when I went to the WA page and saw in the listing a shot by Beverly Guhl, my very first thought was "Oh gosh. Now, my shot this week won't have a chance." After this, it probably still doesn't, but what the heck... It's a mutual admiration society. Bravo for the great use of light and thanks for the funny tribute.
I know why. It's because of his daughters. They are so beautiful that it really doesn't matter how he photographs them. And the other times? They must have been muses. Yes. That is the only logical explanation. He has three and most of us - alas - have none.
But seriously, I think you already read it from cover to cover. It is very evident by your results.

Great Job.
Patty.
Well I guess you have Endre's vote
Patty, thanks!!! It was fun to do. Just waiting for the Mothership to come take Endre and ViperMike and many others, then we'll all stand a better chance here! lol

Jess, you are so funny. I get a lot of puns around Halloween. Your restraint is masterful as your wonderful photos. Glad you enjoyed the shot!!!

Thanks, Steve!!! I have far from mastered strobes, but you are kind to say so. They are so challenging and frustrating, especially trying to shoot yourself. With no modeling lights for WYSIWYG it is guesswork, espec. for us newbies. I probably had to take 25 shots till I got the right colors, angles, ratios and myself and the book in any semblance of a half way decent composition. I wish you much luck. Strobes will really increase your cuss word vocabulary; I hate to say it but it has mine. lol Strobes can be fun, too.

"STRAD".... ha, imagine my surprise when I came across that book!! OMG, the secrets it reveals. It didn't say how long you plan to stay on our little green marble hiding out as a masterful photographer and violinist...but it did say you only breed to have gorgeous photographic models and acquire pets and objects for the same reason. Oh well, no harm done if we can enjoy and admire your work, and your friendship. You are kind to think I'm ever a threat. Give my regards to the Mothership. :-)

Yakim! You flatter me greatly, now I am humbled!! Yes, there were photos in the book about his daughters, pets, wive, violin, you name it. As I told Strad, he only breeds to acquire resident models! No surprise there. His unearthly advantages are many. I'm still blue with envy. You do some really great shots yourself, so I suspect you may have read the book, too.
