Tom and Marj,
Oaks branches grow in such unlikely directions that they always fascinate me. And it always frustrates me deciding where to crop the sides. You've chosen well here.
I really like the composition, especially the single-trunk tree in the lower left as it wanders all over the place searching out a bit of sunlight.
Well done.
Charlie

Charlie - we have three types of oaks locally; this is the White Oak; the other two - Coast Life Oak and Blue Oak - do not have the picturesque branching. glad you like the image.

Very spectacular, in the literal sense of the word. I love shots that "make me wish I was there."

Tim - thanks for the nice comment. IR does add an accent, eh?

Very nice shot. Was this done from an IR mod camera or software.

Beauty Tom. All the Cal Oaks seem to have these fluorescent leaves and dark trunks and branches.

Klaus - thanks. IR from a Nikon D80 that was IR converted by LifePixel, not from Photoshop.
Tim - tree shooting is more exciting during the winter, when most or all of the leaves have dropped and one can see the beautiful branch structure. glad you like.

regards, tom
