p.1 #1 · Gföller Mill in winter, Untertal

This morning, I found myself traveling back to Untertal to where I knew there was a old mill there, which I had seen in Summer while biking. After a brisk walk through the snow and along the river I found the little mill which is hidden from the road above.

The Gföller mill operated well into the 1970's was very much part of the Gföller's farm. It had been destroyed by floods in 1874 and rebuilt in 1875. Of a total of about 40 mills along the river, the Gföller mill is the only one to have survived in Untertal.

Feel to comment, Thanks for looking in.

Very nice, Gavin. Striking even. I'd love to see a color version of the 2nd, not sure why, just curious. The 2nd is my fave comp of the group.
The ice on the rocks in the first 2 is just amazing. Nicely done.

2nd if best for me too. I would like to see the color one as well. Maybe a smidge less top and right might improve.

1st needs more river in front for my taste.

3rd might be better with a slight move to the left to almost the edge of building.

Nice pictures.

Hi Gavin
I much prefer the colored version of #2. Nicely done in my opinion.

Hi Gavin - another good set. I really like the second in mono - very well composed and lots of detail. The first takes second place for me - although for this one I prefer the colour version where the blue tones convey a more realistic cold feeling. Cheers. Paul
