p.1 #1 · Slow 40D

After about 10 or 12 high speed shots with my Canon 40D, it sounds like the speed slows down. I am using a Sandisk Ultra II 4GB card. Does anyone have the answer to this problem? Thanks

Turn off High ISO NR?

What image format is this happening in, Poppy?

If you're in RAW, it might be that you're filling the camera buffer quicker than the card can read them out - that'll make the camera slow down.

The RAW buffer can handle well more than 10-12 shots.

Sounds like the High ISO NR custom function needs to be turned off.

Actually, shooting RAW + large jpeg, the manual says the maximum high speed burst is 14 - but noisy or detailed images could reduce that by a fair amount.
