Very nice shots. I love the reflections in these. In #1, when shooting that wide if you don't get Bridal Veil Falls in the shot, somehow it feels incomplete. #2 is very nice, but I do agree, it looks unlevel. Remember on shots like these, it doesn't matter one bit if the shot is totally level, what matters is what does it look like... appearance is reality, and #2 seems a bit unlevel...
Jim
Jim, here is it completed with the Bridel fall for you

both are great. my personal choice is #2. but what is the red dot on the left side? is this only on my screen? it's just above the water at the shore
As you can see, there were multiple other dots other than the red ones. These dots came from nearby traffic, incoming (head, yellow lights,) and red (taillight).
Thanks for visiting and questioning. bob
Oh my goodness, this is a stunning picture(s)
At first I was thinking a ND would benefit here but I don't think you could have snuck one in without effecting the mtn tops.
Wonderful never the less.

Tom.
come to Yosemite and you can't help but taking stunning pics!

thanks. I never thought of that. it's been a few years since I've been there so I didn't think of the road next to it. in any event two very nice shots. are you going to remove them with PS or leave them in?

Splendid work.
I love this series.

Yes it is Yosemite, yet my son found Barcelona more compelling. He found a girl, fell in love, maried her and stayed there. We "lost" our son to Barcelona(that has the girl he loves). I think I should remind him about Yosemite.

Remove it? no way. It is to keep people like you and me guessing. I thought it was a reflection of the mountain above until you asked.

nice....must have been amazing to photograph.
You know, when I am in a middle of a scene like this I am completely out of myself. Have you ever meditated, been hypnotized, totally focused...? Yes it was one of those moment. Shooting fastmoving wildlife is exciting but not absorbing like this/
If I had taken any of those pictures you would have to make an appointment to talk to me. To me this is what landscape photography is all about. Being that these were taken in one of my favorite places doesn't affect my judgement at all. Maybe one of these days I will come close to that calibre.

Lynn,
With "profound humility"!!! you make me blushed. I am glad you share my "vision." You know I do have an advantage that few others have: I live 2 hours from the Yosemite valley. If you have one chance i would have one hundred times of it. Yet it is great to get a good shot. thanks again.

Great stuff, Bob. I also prefer the light and warmth in the 2nd.
Alas, it does need a touch of cw rotation. If you look at other shots of El Cap, the face of the cliff doesn't stand straight up, but actually lean a bit into the valley. That is what makes it an optical delusion for me, too
Beautiful images, regardless.
