I've lost track a bit. Is 2.2 a free upgrade to the 2.0 program? I am still using 1.4.1. I passed on the original 2.0 upgrade based on our needs. But using the trial of 2.2, there are improvements that I like.
I can only find 2.0 in certain on-line venues and was wondering about the upgrade.
Cannot remember why we didn't purchase 2.0 [exactly] as LR has been a great investment for us. I just remember saying, "yes, it is a little better...just not a lot." But the 2.2 either has new features, more refined features, or I missed something in 2.0.
You must have missed something in 2.0 because there's really little new in 2.2, basically only the camera profiles and some bug fixes. I have never 1.4 but apparently 1.4 to 2.0 was a huge leap in terms of functionality.
Wow am I having issues with LR 2.2. Today I imported about 100 large JPEG's from my 5D II off of a memory card, and once it was in the process of rendering 1:1 previews, my memory useage sky rocketed up to 97%. I've NEVER seen that before, not with any other program I've had or have. It's never gotten above 60% in fact.
The program remains stable, but VERY very sluggish. Even after it was finished rendering previews it stayed at 97% and dropped to 53% once I shut it down. Something's very wrong with LR2.2 I can't use it anymore with it like that.

I'm having the same problem. Lots of users on the Adobe LR forum are dumping 2.2 and going back to 2.1. There are reports of terrible memory leaks in the new version. My RAM usage is through the roof. Just having LR open and doing a little light browsing with it will use up to 3.25 gigs of ram! It's incredibly slow also. I'm trying to find a place to download 2.1 again and go back to that. The LR 2.2 "upgrade" wiped 2.1 from my system.
