Jess, I love homemade lemon meringue pie. The color one worked for me, as well as the grayscale. Tart is the only way to have that pie...I dislike the sweet store variety.

My cousin is keeping alive some of the skills of our common grandmother, and so is her daughter. I used to make a pie crust that would probably have pleased Granny, but I hardly have time to cook at all anymore, let alone fuss with desserts. Haven't yet taught the dog to bake...
