What a very interesting entry. I love the lighting and the eye is absolutely terrific. It definitely gives me the sense that it is watching and the eye goes so well with the gargoyle. One small nit is that there appears to be a small leaf on the wing on the right that I find a bit distracting. It should be easy to clone out. Good luck this week.
Thanks for the comments, Steve. I was looking to have something different than a dog or cat. That "leaf" you see is her claw. This happens to be a very rare "Green-Tipped" Gargoyle. She is very sensitive about her green claws and takes great pains to keep them looking spiffy. There's another green one on the other side and two up at the top of her wings. I don't think I oughta clone out her wing tips or she'd get mad at me. I can't afford to have our Gargoyle mad at me.
All the best,
Endre

Brilliantly done! If it's not to be a living, breathing mammalian, avian, piscine, amphibious or reptilian pet (and I suppose I should include arachnids, since many folks dearly love their tarantulas),
why then I suppose this is about the most "fabulous" pet photo you could have done! Bravo!
Endre, if I can get a tarantula (I enjoyed an encounter with one when in NM) I suppose I must name it "Scherzo", no?
I remember seeing the movie "Gargoyles" when I was a kid and it started a life long obsession with them. Really great image, tons of detail and a great Gargoyle.
A very clever entry my friend!!! I am a big Gargoyle fan. Of course presentation, lighting and detail are staples of your work Endre. This is no exception. I dig the eyes!
Thanks so much, jess, my friend! I always appreciate your kind and clever comments. They have been sorely missed around here.
Yes - the ONLY name a musician can give a pet tarantula would have to be "Scherzo". If I ever acquire one, i'll do just that.
Fond regards,
Endre

Thank you so much, Dave. Coming from a master like you, it is wonderful praise, indeed!
All best wishes,
Endre

A pet gargoyle? Well, I must admit I'd never think of it as such but if it guards your house then I guess you can call it thus. Creepy creature. Brrr…..
Thanks so much, Yakim. I'm glad you like the shot even if the subject creeps you out. Actually, there is much deeper meaning to this little creature than you might realize. Living in Israel, perhaps you will relate to it even more easily than some others. The genesis of my getting "Sin" to sit outside our front door comes from Breishit 4:7 - "Surely, if you improve yourself, you will be forgiven, But if you do not improve yourself, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is toward you, yet you can conquer it." Every time i come home, I see "Sin" crouching at the door and am reminded to leave any external troubles, conflicts, angers, etc. outside, lest they infect the environment within the house. Little Miss "Sin" is a very graphic reminder toward good behavior.
All best wishes,
Endre
