Very nice, Yakim! I take it you are having a happier time working with the narrow DOF of this lens than you did with the 35/1.4? Focus looks dead on target.

That reminds me, my cat, Schrodinger, which I both have and do not have, does not appear in any of my photos. Well, I'll just have to stick with the dog, who in spite of her name (Photon) does not appear to suffer from quantum indeterminacy. In particular, it is easy to predict her exact position when her momentum is at its most common level of zero.

This one has larger MFD so this feature inherently helps. It's fool proof. And I also like the bokeh better.

BTW, that's a cool name for a cat. I like it.

What a beautiful cat! Nice shot!
One suggestion: The two white specs on her forehead are reflections on a couple of whiskers, I believe. But they look like just two white specs... so, I'd probably get rid of those in Photoshop since they stand out against that nice, black fur.

I think that the eye would of been better a little sharper, and I would loose the spots on the forhead, the eye could just be my monitor but the two dots need to go.

These are dirt specs. I removed them but the shots taken afterwards weren't good.
PS? I don't have it. I use DPP and Picasa. Can any of them remove the specs? If so, how? As you can understand, I am a complete novice in PP.

The eye is not 100% in focus. Plane of focus is a few mm frontward, though I put the AF point directly on her eye. This lens has a tendency to sometimes FF but unfortunately, it sometimes exhibit BF as well so it's probably not a calibration issue. I'm still gong to try it. After all, what do I have to lose?

"Though a higher percentage of the mis-focused shots were front-focused, a significant number were back-focused as well. Therefore, focus calibration is not going to help this lens".
