Lovely shot - I really like it. The lighting is great - it really enhances the different textures.

I'm hoping to get a shot of my cat, but sadly he hates my camera and is the world's worst model...

Yup, great lighting and great shot!
The cushion makes a shape like the cat's left ear tuft. The other ear is mirrored by the rim-lit cushion on the right. The back of the sofa echoes the foreleg. Good stuff and a nice face as well!

Awesome shot ... I love this one. It captures something about the essence of a cat too. I always like when they put their ears back like that, means either trouble, looking for something, etc. I'm wondering what it means to this one.

Beautiful lighting and I agree, the textures are great.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I guess it would be a good idea to post some exif info. Although, I am not on my laptop at the moment where everything is stored, but it was shot with a Canon Rebel XS w/10-22mm.

The best thing in this very good photo is the lighting. It brings out all the texture. I love it.
