Hi Shaun,
Max looks like a wonderful yellow lab. He seems to have the typical personality that I associate with this breed. I like your shot, but one eye appears to me to be in sharper focus than the other. I think I would prefer it if the like was catching them evenly. It also often helps a shot if the main subject isn't right in the middle but is rather of to one side or the top or the bottom by a third or so.
