I don't understand why all sudden some of my files in lightroom say " the file is OFFLINE OR MISSING" Thus I cannot edit any of these pix, do I lose them for good? so weird that i get this message very often. Please explain why I got that message and how to recover the pix, thanks again
if you go to the folder that has the question marks in left side of the LR screen, right click on the folder and select, "find folder".
you then navigate to the drive where the files exist and LR will make them available. After finding one LR usually finds them all if they reside on the same drive. Somehow the link to the photo folder got broken. This is not a big deal and should only happen if you take your drive offline.
The is no need to re-load any photos, only re-link them.
