Well I went from thinking no way to now considering the sigma. But in the past I have had the experience that sigma's just didn't cut it with focus compared to the brand name lens.
This review here which I just came across as I was looking for prices for the siggy .... make's me again wonder.

I wish I could get my hands on one, but both local stores here in Raleigh have told me that they don't plan to order any. Bummer.
