Brilliant, Tom, congratulations! I'd love to know the details of this shot (camera, lens, pp). Also, why did you choose to "leave out" the bottom of the building? Or was it a lens limit?
Thank you philber. I used a Canon 5D with a Canon 16-35f/2.8LII on a gitzo cf tripod with a Acratech V2 ballhead. I took 5 images at different exposures. -2,-1,0,+1,+2. I use Photomatix 3.0 to process the HDR into an image that looks relatively flat but with a tremendous dynamic range. I then bring that image into Photoshop CS3 and add contrast. Also I adjust the colors (note: I'm color blind. I can see color but can't differentiate from red, greens, browns). Sharpen, resize to web, sharpen again. Post to FM.
another brilliant image...you're the man! You're inspiring me to start using Photomatix...downloaded the trial a couple of monthes ago, but haven't bought yet.
Tom,
This is one of my recent favorites! Perfect composition...all lines come together in such a symmetrical way. Processing is very well done also! I'm also about to pull the trigger on the software... is it really that easy?

Many thanks to all for the kind words.
I have a workflow I use with Photomatix and Photoshop CS3. If you would like to know how I get a particular image to look the way it does.....IM me and I'll provide you with my technique.
