Thanks, Karen. I also struggle with reds - they always seem to change so dramatically in real life with the availabel light, and I have a simlilar pp issue with them!
The only dig is to watch your framing -that first shot would be difficult to mat since the anthers are so close to the edge of the frame. One of the habits I need to get into as well is framing for prints...

point well-taken about the tight framing, but I am not quite steady enough with the MPE, so I was just glad I didn't clip it
Thanks Robert, Tom, Kevin, Mick, and Roy. I am learning how to use the new toy- I took some similar shots a few days ago that were terrible (not posted)! I thought these were much better, and I am pleased you all liked them.
