Awesome Tim, that must have made for an exciting day. What are the water temps like there now? Ours are way to cold to venture out. Fog sure made these shots.
Nice job, Tim. And even though food is plentiful at the moment, thanks for respecting the bird by not getting too close. Now I know how tempting that can be.

Eagles are kinda' special. A luxury is knowing there is a second, third..... opportunity for more shots. I love your captures, I know how you feel Tim. Ken is right you know....snow geese or bald eagle?
Ted
Thanks Ted, I know you how I feel and it is a great feeling! Yeah Ken is right

Congrats Tim, the eagles around here will not let you get within 150 meters, kayak or no kayak.
Maybe he did not have his instrument license and was not allowed to take off in foggy conditions.
Tony
Tony, these guys aren't usually tolerant at all to human presence. This was very strange indeed. Almost like a gift somehow. It's funny, I was thinking of you when this was going on. Mostly about how lucky you are that you have a place and a blind where you can get awfully close. Just watching this animal was impressive.

Thanks so much Rob!!
I'm not sure of the surface temperature of Lake Washington but I would imagine it is about 50 F. Elliot Bay much colder than that.

Henrik, I waited for him to finish before drifting in too closely. I couldn't figure out what he was eating, there wasn't any scraps left.
