You know those folding chairs made of matierial many photogs use for the basketball games. I've never used one but I think I need one now that I'm getting a little older and not as in shape as I used to be.
Does anyone know where I can find one? Like what store sells them? Thanx for your help.
I also recommend the Crazy Creek chairs. After three heavy seasons one of the side straps started to tear loose on my chair. I sent it back to Crazy Creek and they sent me a new one no questions asked.
Awesome! Thank you everyone. I am ordering one today but I wish I would have done this before the season started. Nonetheless I'll feel better soon. Thank you and my back thanks you!
I'll give a +1 and MORE for the Back Jack. I'm a big guy (wide, tall and over 300 lbs) and I can lean back with full weight on the Back Jack with its metal frame without any worries. It also comes with an additional cushion as an option.
This chair was worth the purchase alone during the first round of last year's NCAA tournament here in Tampa with four games in a row the opening day, including overtimes...saved my back, I'm sure.
It makes it into my car before my cameras before I cover a basketball game...(and, BTW, it does fold flat).
I may go with the Crazy Creek since that's the one I have seen here locally. I definitely want quality that will last and that one with the straps looks like it'll be pretty good. Thank you again and I can't wait to try it out!
Yeah, it's more than some of the others ($89 at Roberts), but if you shoot a lot of basketball (or cheer, or gymnastics, etc) where you're sitting on the floor for extended periods of time, your BACK will appreciate the extra you spent to save yourself from pain and stiffness

What's the price of that puppy? Experience tells me that any time they don't publish the price it means its high.
Not that bad - I think in this case, the fact that they don't publish the price on their site means they're protecting their distributors and retail partners, and that they don't sell direct.

Those look awesome also. The main thing is which one is best for your back so I'll check into them both but I need to get one soon as the season has already started. Thanx again everyone for the help.

I really wish there was a chair like those posted but with heavy duty foam for your butt!
The padding wears out so fast in those. Frustrating
You know what would be even better would be a blow up. It would not break down over time and have some movement to it to keep the butt from going nite nite on ya.
I wish someone would put that really nice, soft foam gel like you see in the foot products. Or even some of that memory foam you see in those expensive beds!
For us larger guys that regular stuff just wears out to quick as I said earlier.

FWIW, I know for a fact you can buy small pieces of the "memory foam", so it can't be too difficult to find one and cut it to size.
As for the blow-up idea, I'm guessing in order to make the blow-up seat large enough to support we full-sized grown-ups (like Matthew, I'm also not small) the seat would be HUGE, and would never be allowed on any NCAA or Pro baselines. Even my traditional SportSeat feels big when you're stacked 2 or 3 deep under the basket.
