Its pretty rare that I shoot a band this young because they usually can't pay me, but these guys have nice parents and I cut them a deal. I really didn't know what to expect.
This is the first of three shots. What do you think?
Great capture. Don't mind the cut off foot. Didn't even pay attention to it first.
How did u manage to pack this much action in one shot? Many takes/shutters to choose from?
I also think these guys are lucky to have hired you.
I like the fact that these are 15 year olds. THAT is important to the image in my opinion.
Now...here is what I would do: Keep in touch and take a similar picture years in the future. Should be fun for all involved. "Band Reunion" when they turn 18 or so.
In fact...I think this is may be my favorite image you have shown of bands.
It is not as "over the top" in some ways...but definitely has "fun" "action" "expression" and "style." Good use of "light" too.
Is it perfect? Would the foot (and top of guitar) help the image? Matter of degree. As "picky" as I am, i can still enjoy the image as is.

hey hey. actually this was actually a single shot! they just managed to do it right after a couple tries. I did take and hdr background plate do help with some of the shadows on th ground.
Faaaan-tastic. Give them all a pat on the back for great expressions... however, the dude on the front left is priceless. He nailed it. Quality post work. I'm impressed by this image. They've gotta be thrilled.
I love the shot. Don't care about the foot. I agree with everyone's praise. There is just one thing about it that bugs me a little and it would probably only bug a photographer or an art director....and it probably doesn't really matter. The thing that bugs me is that the dude in front is lit from camera left and the two dudes in back from the right. I know it is not supposed to look "natural".... and I believe it is one "live shot". However, the difference in lighting makes my first reaction that it might be a couple of different shots put together in post.
As I said, I love the shot and I think they were lucky to get you to shoot them.
