It's a stunning pic but how does it relate to the WA?

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Thanks Yakim for the post.
I had a few thoughts on simplicity: One was a simple image with a good deal of negative space. I hoped one could see a golden mean spiral working from a clockwise fashion from the arm to shoulder around the head and looping inward.

I was also going for the simplicity of pastoral living. I.e., using a fire for light/heat vs. more complex and urban means. Moreover, I thought the look in his eye was representative of the ideals of childhood. That a child can just sit and enjoy the flickers of flame and rising embers. While adult often cloud their heads with the distractions of work and other duties.

This is a gorgeous shot with fantastic warm lighting. Interesting take on the assignment, thanks for the explanation. Good luck.

I like his pensive stare and the warm glow of the light. Good use of dark space, too.

Another shot where the lighting caught my eye and made me open it up to see more. A keeper for sure. Need to frame this one.

Good luck.

The image made sense to me right away, far more than many other entries actually - which while beautiful were anything but simple. I think you nailed it, with simple light, simple expression, and a simple setup to boot. Absolutely works for me.
