Hi Mark.......I am playing with the color as I agree with your comment when I see it on the Web

ps........I have been mixing cocktails in a bar in the Theater District (NYC) for the past 15 years.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I think the colors clash a little. Maybe you could desaturate a little to help it pop. Not sure what you want me to look at. The Jack Daniels or the glass, or is it that nice ring and watch?

Hi Steve.......Thanks for the comment! If I were you I would focus on the glass. It is a lovely
' Makers Mark Manhattan' chilled to perfection!
As far as the colors go....I am still working on perfecting them

All the Best

The colours bother me a lot less than the chopped bottom of the glass.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

I notice you had the white balance set at cloudy weather which probably accounts for the colour.

Looks tasty though and good enough to drink.

Hi Yakim.............The original photo had the bottom of the glass but the shelf was slanted
When I straightened the shelf.....I lost the bottom of the glass
I may have to rethink my entry if time allows.

Thanks for the comment

Thanks Bill.....Somewhere along the line I remember being told to use 'cloudy' over 'auto'
in the white balance setting. Perhaps this is only true of outdoors??
Anyway.....Something I need to look into

Now this is so much more defined. Totally better. The focus is very clear as to the eye. Some of the flash is bouncing off the glass and bottles a bit, but from the original, this is miles better. Seems like there has been lots of adjustments (including my 3 post on a different shot) from the entries. But that is how we learn and its nice to see constructive criticism be taken the right way for learning sake. Nice Job

Like the new version. The compostion and lighting is spot on. However, the skin tones on the hand seem a little too red--Just nitpicking.

A nice entry,
Chad

I like the first shot better just the colors needed worked on, I like the back part of your hand and your watch showing more than how you are holding the glass in the remake.

I liked the original. I looked like something from an old life magazine!

Not really my style of drink Patricia, but it still makes me thirsty for something! I haven't been following the thread, but comparing the current with the old I also think that the new version has much better light and colour, but I have to agree with Hightraxx about the back of your hand, rings and watch face being more distinguished looking than the palm side.

Good luck,
David

Thanks Chad......I think you are right about the 'red' skin tones! Time has run out for any further adjustments
