A beautiful shot. Love the contrast of fall foliage with the grey steel bridge. Nice composition.

Great entry,
Chad

Fascinating shot, Jim, my friend! I'm not entirely convinced by it, though. It's probably just personal but I don't really like the brown tree in front, as it looks like it is dead. The other problem is that it looks a tad oversharpened to me. Now, don't get me wrong, these comments are just picking nits. The overall photo is quite lovely.

Fond regards,

Endre

Thanks Chad.

Endre, it is fall here, and some trees turn brown instead of red or yellow - the tree is very much alive. I did push the sharpening a bit, but wanted a crisp edge to the steel in particular. Where urban meets nature is the focus, and how nature never gives up on attempting to reclaim the land.

Thanks for the explanation, Jim, my friend! Sorry about not realizing the true nature of Fall back East. Out here in LA there are no such thing as Seasons, so I'm generally not acquainted with such events as Fall colors. . As to the representation of Urban meeting Nature, you've done a great job capturing that idea.

Fond regards,

Endre
