As a frequent user of the 24 f2.8 and the 28 f3.5, i concur with their performance. Wicked sharp, amazingly small and light. Their small size baffles me - how do they do it?
While high performing, they do have some interesting 'character', notably
- Low contrast. This isn't such a bad thing, their shadow detail and colour is very desirable sometimes. It's a unique look.
- Flare. These things flare rather heavily. Use the hoods, or put on an aftermarket one.
- Glow | bloom. Essentially the flare aspect, bright lights at night bloom and burn out more than on many other lenses. Often i love the look of it, but it's sometimes too much.
I won't get rid of my CZ distagon 28mm f2.8, it's punchy and bold. However, the Zuiko has a unique take on the situation which is often preferable, for me.
The Oly 24mm. This was a singe fluorescent bulb on the exterior. Look at how much it blooms

CZ 28mm f2.8. Not a direct comparison, but see how much the flare is reduced around the lights. Lots of internal reflections however. I'll set about doing a 1 to 1 test on a similar situation between them.

I love the Zuiko character. The sharpness, the low contrast, the flare even. It's a beautiful look, depending on what you're doing. And.... how do they make them so small!!!!??
Have fun
