This is one of those photos that if you're not a photographer, it makes you want to be one.
why thankyou
ill be sure to thank my friend who was holding some bananas. i love how you can see that expression in his eye, 'can i pleeeeeeeeeeeease have a banana?'
I went to bali recently for 12 days, and i brought 40D, 10-22, 50 & 85 primes. 10-22 is used the most, 50 used for fun (take pic of my gf), 85 used to take pic of those kecak dancer (although i deleted most after get home)
I suggested bring ur Mark III 15FE, 16-35L (16-35L will be wider on Mk III & im sure it can cover 85% of a time), dunt forget to bring your external flash, CPL & graduated ND filter. If you have spare money u can buy small long prime for fun otherwise bring 50 if u want to create creative shot, definitely leave ur 70-200 at home, since bali have lots of walking distance. Enjoy ur trip, it'll be fun

make sure you climb mt agung and watch the sunrise from the top
we left a bit late so were only 3/4 the way up for sunrise. it's a strange feeling standing far above the clouds, i can't even begin to fathom the view from a truly high altitude!

Honestly, he looks so sad. Maybe he's sad because he didn't get a nana yet!
This shot is absolutely wonderful, and I only can hope to have a shot as wonderful as that some day.
Recently went to Bali. Take the Mk III. Wides will be better. There are SO many nice places that could use wider lenses unless you are specifically into bird shots...
I'd personally go with the 40D mainly for size constraints (if any). Plus, I'm sure it would be easier to carry around the 40D than the mkIII. With either body, you're going to get fantastic photo's either way.
