I saw this leaf and had visualised this image but had to wait quite some time for a sun beam shining through the trees to hit this leaf in the water. It was exciting to see this develop.
I hope you like it too.
Lovely light, indeed, Ute. Love your eye for scenes like this.
Have you considered cropping the green grass at the top, leaving their reflections? Just a thought
Your mini-scapes have always been an inspiration to me. Love the simplicity but it's the delicate light that really sends this over the top for me. Really nice work!
Such elegance, simplicity and graceful beauty in another of your inspiring compositions. If the photo were translated into words it would become a perfect "haiku." Hear! Hear!

Thanks a lot, Barry, for your thoughts on this. I did try with and without the green, I also took several version. I haven't yet made up my mind which one I like better. For the moment, this one but that might change.
Ute
Gorgeous image, Ute. I like the composition of the different elements here, with areas of interest everywhere and various lines leading to the focal point where the reflections of the green garss meet the water - love the fact that some of the leaves are seen through the water - it really adds texture.
