Been a while, I’ve been out shooting a lot lately. Love this time of the year.
I have been using a D1X for the past 7 years as my primary camera, love that creature to bits. Sure battery life could be better, but I never really thought it was that bad, always had a couple with me and averaged 450 frames per battery. I have now gotten a D700 and it has replaced my D1X as my main body, I love the fact that my wide angles are wide again.
I have shot many different types of imagery in the past moth with this camera. It is a joy to use, I have it without the grip because I like the smaller size camera.
My Sigma 15-30, 85mm f1.8 and my 80-200 f2.8 have been living on this body.
Lots of great images there Robert, and thanks for sharing. You need to pop in more often! Cheers... and glad to see that D700 is getting a proper regular workout!

I carry my gear in Pelican cases when on the water. I have used them for years, my Nikon gear has been in some serious whitewater and has run some major rapids both with me and in the water besides me when I have flipped and taken an unscheduled swim stop!

I ended up with the D700 after unfortunately lost some gear in an accident on a river. Lost a camera body and some nice glass(80-200 2.8) to the river gods! First time in 20 some years so I figured I must be due.

Love that Sigma 15-30 very sharp lens, I initially bought it to use on my D1X cropped sensor as a wide angle now I really am loving it on my D700. I think it is a real bargain for the money.

I don't often have time to post on here as often as I would like. Good crowd of people on this forum, lots of great shooters and not to many argumentative types. I am usually running on time constraints for a shoot, editing/filing/cataloging, or marketing my images. Not much time left for posting stuff here, I do cruise the site often just to see what is going on.

Thanks, the camera produce some fantastic files for us to work with. I love having a great tool to help me capture those things that I see in my viewfinder.
