Ok, need a little help. What I originally thought was a new iTunes feature...has me confused. I purchased a song on iTunes, comes in MP4 format. We all know that the only way to convert this to MP3 before was to burn it to a CD, right? Well...just two days ago, I bought a new song, went to burn it...and got a funky new menu screen when burning the CD. Then I remembered that the iTunes had just updated, so I was not surprised. I was confused however, because the options on the burning menu were not exactly what I wanted....so I went back to the purchased song, right-clicked and a new option for "create MP3 version" appeared. Hmmm...I clicked, it worked. Simple as that.
I told all my friends about this new great feature in iTunes, but none of them have been able to do the same thing from their iTunes. I googled the new feature...nothing was blogged or mentioned about it. I asked on the apple forums, no replies yet. I think I might have some strange version of iTunes now. (And please don't let me ever update again if that is the case)
So, here's my question...can any of you reproduce my iTunes' suddenly new and great feature? I have the latest iTunes installed with the "genius" sidebar thing as well (although I highly doubt that has anything to do with this, since it is a free feature).
Here's a screen shot of what my new right-click options are on tunes purchased from the iTunes store.
