I've got mine (the ones I take along anyways) in a Lowepro pouch, in the plastic cases, label up (or towards me) when ready, reversed when shot.) The pouch would also fit on a belt and fits quite well in pockets in the two bags I use most often.
work's nicely to hold my CF cards. i've got 6 CF cards in it and they're well protected and padded and it fits nicely in my pocket. no thicker then a classic IPOD

You have over 400GB that I can visibly count. What do you do with so much memory?
To the OP:
The TT/ Pixel Pocket Rocket, is an excellent suggestion. I use the Pee Wee version, as I do not need more than 4 CF cards, at any given time. However, when the need shall arise, to have more cards, I will buy the PPR.
Water tight. You can spot them easily in your camera bag. They're real sturdy. They bounce without case or card damage (well for 15 feet at least). They may float, but I haven't "tried" that yet.
Then again I'm not carrying 20 cards, usually just carrying either 4 or 8 plus the ones in the cameras. That 48 gig along with a psd with 120gigs has been enough for me "in thre field" so far. Then again I usually have another 250 to 500 gigs of HD back at the camp or hotel.
I have one TT/PPR and will be buying another (I have 16 CF cards + some SD). I use that many when shooting gymnastics (between multiple cameras/shooters), plus use them on the field as well. I wish TT made the PPR in a color other than blue. Would be nice to have color-coordinated PPRs.... (If you also think this is a good idea, e-mail them like I did!)
Will probably get a Grepe case for when I'm out shooting wildlife/landscapes, though. Looks handy and protective.
Thanks OP for asking this!

Lars - I'm offended by your avatar and think that we should hold a vote to get you to change it.
Haha - remember that one? (If folks don't remember I'm of course not being serious)
I had the same thought - someone forgot to tell you that CF cards are reusable.
I like the Gepe cases linked earlier in the thread. At Lars' suggestion I shoot to CF and SD at the same time, with the SD being my backup. The Gepe case nicely holds both cards (although I have more than one so the original is not in the same holder as the backup.) I've only dropped it in the drink once, but all 8 cards came out perfectly dry.

Uh... you do know you can erase and reuse the cards, yes?
Okay, that was a joke - but only sort of. I was in a shop once and a customer came in with a bunch of cards in a box that she wanted to get rid of. She was delighted, and I think a little embarrassed, to discover that memory cards are not like film and are completely reusable...
