Thanks for the replies.

Jason, this is the surrealistic effect of long exposure , in this case probably 30secs or so, smoothing out the water movement and giving the soft blur to the clouds that are moving.

This was taken in geographe Bay Western Australia which has a wonderful blue hue in the water, contrasting with very white sand beaches. Hope that helps

Really amazing shot ... I think it evokes a mood of loneliness or something ... not sure the exact "mood" but it certainly is moody ... and beautiful.

EXIF says it was taken as 22:53. That cant be correct. Did you take the shot of the clouds at night and then blend them?

The time on the exif is wrong...my camera time is still set to European time from my latest trip...forgot to set it back. Thanks for pointing it out!

It was a single dawn shot.
