Hi Hightrax,
Interesting take on the WA and a great shot. You must have had some great light to be able to use 1600 f2.8 with only 200 iso dialled in. I tried at london zoo on saturday and could only get 1/60 f2.8 with 400 in on a 100mm lens.
Anyway love the colour and the blue flowers beneath only accentuate the colour of the butterfly. Might have liked the bgd to be more oof but now im just being picky.
Best of luck and take care
Mark
Thanks Mark, here in Ohio it is sunny suppose to rain and storm later tonight but I always have my camera with me when I go for my walks , I've regretted to many times not taken it with me and seeing something I would of like to take and missed it. Thanks again.
You caught it perfectly parallel to the focal plane, letting you blur the background with the wide aperture and still have great detail over the entire butterfly!

Wonderful shot of the tiger swallowtail (which is one of my very favorite butterflies). It is a fantastic shot. Have you thought about rotating it 90 degrees. I think I would like it better in that orientation. Good luck this week.
