p.1 #1 · Newer Pentax wide lenses - adaptable? what quality?

Have a question for those knowledgable about some of those Pentax wide angle lenses, 24mm and wider.

Anybody know how image quality compares to others such as zuiko, zeiss, etc.

Are they adaptable to use on Canon?

Which are for full frame sensor, which are not?

No current Pentax lens wider than 28mm is either adaptable or for a full-frame sensor. All are DA lenses and DA lenses are crop-only (except for the DA 40 Limited which is a FF design) and DA lenses all lack an aperture ring.

Pentax's older wide-angle lenses are quite good, especially the 15mm f3.5. However they require physical modifications to be used on Canon FF bodies and tend to be both somewhat rare and expensive. Zuiko's or Nikon's are almost always a better choice, if only due to the much lower price due to lower demand and/or much larger available stocks.
