Mirror lenses will do that ring/doughnut stuff to highlights. They're not exactly well known for their bokeh qualities.

Exactly as stated by Panos. Another problem is the fixed aperture.

Definitely an interesting effect with the BG anyway... smooth, but not creamy blur. Anyone else notice that good bokkeh can be described like good yogurt?
