New entry. Dried apricots in the configuration of Mt. Desert Island, Maine. It's pronounced like American "dessert", presumably as an approximation of the French "desert", but just as Mt. Desert is far from dry and lifeless, these dried apricots turned out to be still moist and delicious. It has been years since we've been able to travel to Maine, and I guess my wish to return affected my photo vision.
Pardon my attempt at dry humor. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the image, and thanks for any comments.

Yum yum - looks very tasty. Perhaps it would be worth experimenting with a more even background to put more emphasis on the subject.
Might be a good idea, if I can get some fresh fruit in time to try. I was going for a "natural" look here, although the lighting was artificial (only option at midnight), but I'm afraid the image is only marginally successful as a whole.
Well, the way I felt about it in the morning was "why did the countertop pick up the green cast while the berries did not? yuck!" so I first brought the granite back to its real salmon color, then decided that since raspberries are so prone to stain stuff, we'll just let them do their thing.

The texture and color of the countertop distracts from the subject, IMO.
Also agree with Steve that a higher shooting angle would serve you better.

Jakob, Steve, and Carrol, thank you for the constructive criticism. I wasn't satisfied with the berry shot, so I've replaced it with these dried apricots.

Very tasty shot, Jess, my friend! It's wonderful to get to see something so close up that we might never think of looking at.
Fond regards,

Thanks my friend!
I was unable to listen to the stream of your latest concert.
Am about to show my latest score to Maestro Llewellyn, so wish me luck in getting him interested in my music!
