I was wondering if someone could give me some info on selling in this forum. I posted a 1Dsm3 less than 24hrs ago and it is already on page 4, which I assume means not many people will see it.
Should I just keep reposting the same thing every few days to get a fresh run on the first page or what is the recommended proper etiquette??

To resurect your thread from page 4 you need to bump it, there is a bump button available to you in this page every 12 hours (I think it's 12 hours, haven't been selling for a while).
You are allowed to"bump" the item to the top of the list every 12 hours. If you are logged in and look at the post you will see a countdown and a "bump" button.(Look in the top of the frame) If the time limit is up you can simply click the bump button which will push the post to the top of list again.
You may also post a reply to the topic which you see quite often with just the word
"bump" or "/\/\" or other things. Still only allowed once every twelve hours.
Anytime someone posts a reply to the topic it will bump to the top as well.
With no twelve hour limit.
The bump is a nice feature - I usually go through enough pages to cover a day or so. For this buyer, front page is not too important. With all the activity this board gets, staying on the front page is tough, indeed.
The search box at the top of B&S was a great addition as well. If I'm looking for a body or lens I'll search for it to find the active posts- its easier on the eyes then searching 100's of postings.
It might be overpriced as well...bump it and see if you get any interest...if not a couple, then let it go and repost later...or drop the price...or go to Ebay (ugh, never my first choice). That camera will sell at the right price. One thing to consider is to post photos of the sale item itself and various photos of images taken with the item (applies to lenses and cameras anyway). Be honest about its use, wear, age, etc. That avoids problems later. Some thoughts for you anyway, good luck!
