The image has Karsh-like qualities to it. The expressions on the subjects' faces are very telling and multi-faceted. And, the placement of the subjects speaks subtle volumes relative to the mother-daughter relationship.

i'm not so sure about the grain -- i'd love to see this photo
razor-sharp and without visible grain -- it would be very
powerful -- but no matter how it is rendered, this is a great photo
This is a classic. The simplistic diagonal lines of the table and the grain really add to this image. 50 yrs from now this will be even better and precious. Kudos for this one.
