Hiya guys,

I normally lurk over in the wedding forum but today i really need you guys help! I have been booked to shoot a wedding in Dallas in October this year and I'm staying on for a week after to have a mini road trip down to New Orleans (I plan on documenting the re-growth since i was there before Katrina arrived) and so i'm trying to plan a loop of a few counties and end up back in Dallas after 5 days. (maybe 1 or 2 days in New Orleans). Can anyone give me a good itinery that will take in the real America, not just places where us brits hang out!!

I'm prepared to drive, so don't hold back (but i don't think I'll make Maine!)

Thanks in advance guys

Should i be heading westwards then? What about New Mexico. I ws thinking originally of Dalla, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and back to Dallas. Do you hink i would be better off going the opposite direction? I would also like to take in Kentucky as well but is that too far in 5 days? Here's hoping

Either direction is a huge trip - you better like driving! Texas is big enough and has enough in it to wear out a good camera or two. From the Rio Grande to Oklahoma and from New Mexico to Arkansas - you'll have your work cut out for you. Its all photo rich territory. I'd skip N.O and Kentucky is way too far.
it can be done - but what's the point? Texas will deliver everything you want - from the Alamo to San Antonio or from Dallas to Austin, Texarkana to Lubbock. Maybe even see a twister or two if you're lucky.
