I think I know which one I like better. What do you all think?

Or

Or neither?

CC welcome...

Thanks

Portrait version without a doubt. The lights are beautifully painted in the water reflection. Try a crop of the empty dark sky... Nice job.

Thanks, I was thinking the portrait version. I did crop out some sky but here is a version with less sky...

Thanks for the comments

I also enjoyed the portrait view. I might have even cropped it a bit tighter on the right just at the last buildg where it meets the full last building.

I prefer the portrait version, too, but I like it with more of the sky in the picture. Does it need a tiny rotation ccw?

mdbassman, thanks for the comments. When I saw this shot, I wanted to concentrate on the stairway. Then I wanted to include the trees, and the person on the bench. Darned 1.6 sensor! I agree though that last building on the right looks bad.

200231786 - Love the user name! Thanks for the kind words.

Dick,

I think I like more sky too. It probably does need some adjustment on the rotation but every time I get one line straight, another goes off. Before I print it out, I'll have to play some more.

Thanks

Brad

For what it's worth, I usually find that getting the verticles right is the answer when there is a reliable verticle in the pic, such as the edge of a building. Still, it's pretty minor in your photo.

I like the water in the portrait as well, you could try a pano with 3 or so Portraits stitched I think that would be something that would work well in that setting.

I agree with everyone else about the Portrait, but I prefer the color in the Landscape shot. Seems warmer

Best,
Jeff

Hey thanks for the additional comments everyone! I was going through this thread and saw that there were more replies.

Jeff, yes, I agree the warmer colors are better in the landscape version. I'll need to compare the post I did on both to see if I can get it a little warmer.

Thanks Again,

Brad
