Thank you Carrol. I debated all week about entering this one or trying for something different, but I just never had time to stop for the one I was thinking about.
The sun's colour would fool me to think it is evening but what do I care. It's a lovely pic.
I must confess that although the trees make up for more than 50% of the frame and the sun is so little on the frame the first word that sprang to my mind when I saw it was not 'Trees' but 'Sunset'. Second thought was 'Oh, it's for this week's WA so it must be for the trees'….
Yakim... Thank you for you comments. It is all of those things---shilloetted trees, heavy orangish smoke layer causing the sun being made to seem more moon-like. Everything had an orange cast to it when the smoke thinned enough for the sun to shine through.
