I have no problem with the EF-S. I intend keeping a crop camera for as long as they are around. Even if I do go FF my hubby has a crop camera and Id pass it onto him. People are talking about crop cameras disappearing, I wonder if that is a fact. They sell well at the present moment.

The only thing I’m interested in is weather the 10-22 can match the 17-40 L image quality wise

especially considering that 2 of them don't exist

Olympus and Nikon (amongst others)make 18mm, 20mm lenses. These lenses can easily be adapted to be used on the 5D. Yes it was a bit of a joke to carry all fixed focus lenses. 28 years ago i still remember seeing in the bag of the then assistance director of photography National Geographic when he was in singapore to cover the national day, a huge assortment of fixed focus olympus lenses were his camera bag .. but then the lenses looked rather small in his hands.
