Hi Mark,

Interesting almost spot like effect of the dappled light. A very simple and strong image. If I had a nit, I am not sure I like the pine cone so centered in the frame, but perhaps that is just me. Good luck this week.

Thanks for the comment. I know what you mean about the 'centerness', and I shot it thinking that I would 'decenter' it in post. I usually am always decentering shots, to the point where my wife thinks my vision is bad when I take pics of the family.

I decided to break the rule of thirds here, the light led me that way. Actually the first centered pic I've ever submitted.

Normally I don't like centricity but this a rare exception. I love the dappled light.

I'd consider cropping a bit from all sides to make the subject take a slightly bigger portion of the frame.
