Looking to sell my 400 2.8 MKII to add a 120-300 and MKIII to the stable. UL1150 date code. I bought it here from voodoo1694 (Dan)
If your looking at a 400 you already know what it can do so no sense in me telling you. It's clean and tack sharp. comes with Lens trunk with Key and Leatherette cover.
Gaffers Tape was on the lens when I bought it and I never took it off.
Asking $4400.00 OBO+ Paypal Fees and shipping or $4700 and I'll cover fees, shipping and insurance.

can't tell from the outside and I spoke with previous owner who got it with tape on it as well.
I felt around on the felt inside the hood and can feel a crack. Given that I have reduced the price $200.00

Feedback likes yours is what I was looking for and I appreciate it.
As to Looking like it was used as a football? HMM It has Black Gaffers tape on the lens hood due to a crack it turns out. Based on that I adjusted the asking price down to $4400.00. If the lens did look like it had "been used as a football" I would agree with the $3500.00 or lower price. However the rest of the lens is in very good cosmetic condition and the trunk is perfect.

Lens doesn't look too bad cosmetically to me. I haven't seen all the 400 2.8's in the world, but I've seen good lenses that look alot worse than this one. Workhorses like these can certainly get some dings and scratches along the way.

I will second that quote as most of these lenses top out at $4000 in the condition that you want. I will make an offer of $3800 for it. And that is not a joke offer either that's straight up.
