Trees are tenacious and the most amazing ones are growing out of pure rock with no soil. I saw some tiny trees that were centuries old. In this picture, we see a root appear briefly, before diving back into the cracks of the rock.

Thank you Carrol for the comment and the welcome. I enjoyed finding this scene because it allowed me to complete the assignment while sneaking in my real favourite subject matter: rocks!
