Cedar Waxwings are like flying cats. They are very agile, and prefer to live, nest, and hang around cedar trees.

It's a very nice pic but I don't see the relationship to the WA.

BTW, what's the brown spot on the left side?

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Yakim, the connection is between the bird and cedar trees - hence the name of the bird being "cedar waxwing".

Very nice lighting. The effect of the exposure, the almost white background make this shot stand out. Well focused too.

Thank you Endre. I got this one at a road side herb store. They rarely hold still, and love to chase each other....much like swallows.

Stunning shot, Jim! I have so many birds in my back yard and I keep thinking of your bird photo skills and that amazing LENS you have. sigh

Thank you Beverly. I didn't use the big one on this shot. This was a 300mm f4 afs with a 1.7x TC - hand held. Considering the 35mm equivalence would be 765mm - I was happy it came out sharp.
