yet another destination wedding in the books. i think we're going to really limit destination weddings from now on. why? because if you really think about it, it takes 3 days to shoot a single event. it really is exhausting...
anyways, this lake tahoe wedding was awesome. the sky was clear throughout the whole day except in between the ceremony AND the reception. it was weird... of course, a total blessing because we were given some very dramatic sky.
beautiful. 1 is great and the advantage of shooting is such a beautiful location.....not to take away from your skill. i am having a hard time trying to figure out where the light is coming from (the shadows on the dress are throwing me off). maybe a large strobe camera left with sun as a fill?
i love number two with the exception of the cut off legs and feet.
other than that i think you did a great job in capturing th emotion of the event.
I love your work. You always post great pictures. My favorite from this set is the first image. I would also like to know how you achieved such great colors
That dance sequence is simply amazing. I'm glad she managed to maintain her dignity with that incredibly short dress! Is that one of your lights hanging on the silver boom arm in the third shot in that dancing set?
Thanks for sharing as always and for setting the bar...

-the strobe was placed camera left and ambient took care of everything else.
-i have a photo with no limbs cut-off... it just wasn't as "dynamic" as what's shown. but it's only "my" preference".
Ed, my question is where did the 80mph wind come from that is only affecting her dress? Did you have your assistant throw it up and run? That's usually what I do with veils.
